This is a place were staff can discuss the site and issues. This is a protected board. Pestering someone for the password will result in a temporary ban. We have party hats and those little water dispensers and paper cups. XD

Check here often for auditions for staff, high ranks, or plot characters. Role play samples and the like are possibly needed, make sure you read the rules of each audition thread.

As the title states, this is the out of character board. Mostly anything can be done upon this board. However, fighting and advertising are not welcomed. There is a board for advertising below.

Not everything is perfect, and Maelstrom is certainly not a perfect forum. If you would like to make some suggestions on how to improve the forum, please do so on here. Fighting will not be tolerated upon this board.

Within this board, members can post their image form of artwork, or they can post word artwork (poems, stories, etc.). This is not the place to ask for artwork to be made for you; there will be a studio for you to request artwork at.

Really need a character image for that horse? Or perhaps you want a matching signature and logo? Well, the artists of Maelstrom shall work for you. All you have to do is fill out their studio's request form and allow them to work their magic.

Whether you are leaving for the weekend or if you are quitting Maelstrom for good, please do let us know. If you want people to role play your characters while you are on vacation, you may do so. If you are quitting the forum, please tell us if you would like your characters to be adopted out or if an administrator should delete them.

This board is the only place upon Maelstrom in which you can advertise other forums. Please make sure you read over the rules and forms provided before you post your advertisement. Also make sure you are posting it in the right sub-board.

When you do not want your unused characters, or you are going to be leaving the forum and want other people to role play them, post your characters here. Biographies are much better than just posting their quick stats, as it gives details into what the horse is like.

Cast in the middle of Sharkcliff Isle is a mountain, rising high above the rest of the island. There are twisty paths leading up to a very wide plateau that seems to have been carved out of the southern side of the mountain, each path littered with sharp rocks and slightly narrowed places. Trees litter the sides of the mountains, with the very top having clouds surrounding it, and snow topping it's peak. The plateau, scattered with wild flowers and lush green grass, house a very large tree, that sits right in the middle of the plateau. A river runs from the top of the mountain, down through the plateau. The river forms a lake around the large tree, leaving an island where the Neverending can meet. The river continues it's path through the plateau, finally falling down on the edge of the cliff into a vast pond below. There are small paths leading up the mountain from the plateau, to a large cave where the herd can rest and be safe from storms. Along the bottom of the plateau, where the vast pond and the waterfall are, are smaller caves, in case some of the horses from the herd don't make it to the higher ground. Once every year, the mountain shakes, and lava seems to seep through the mountain's sides. However, it cools before it can do any damage, because of how high up it is.

Upon arriving on Sharkcliff Isle, horses will instantly be thrust into Elwynn Forest. The forest consists of tall oaks, with small clearings here and there. Grass grows in small patches under the trees, and it is fairly cool during the summer. In the winter, snow does manage to meet the ground, though it's more of a dusting where the trees are close together, and deeper in to the clearings. There is a small creek flowing into the ocean, with a small pond sitting within the trees.

Looking out over the ocean is a small ridge, the grasses and trees burnt into nothing. It is said that a few Fire Neverendings set fire to the place, and then cursed the ridge, so nothing would grow. Darks are known to gather around Scorched Ridge, drawn to the power the land seems to hold.

Every other full moon, the Neverending King and Qeen meet up with the Doomed King and Queen wtihin a sacred clearing. The clearing is surrounded by high cliffs, small waterfalls falling down them into small pools of water. The clearing is full of grass, and the moon shines down from above, onto the statue of a unicorn in the middle. Because this place is sacred, fighting between horses is not allowed.

Within a fairly large hill, sits a cavern made out of crystals, the entrance hidden by a cloak of moss. Legend has it that within the cave are magic powers, and items can be found. These items range from jewelry to little creatures, or Aeons, who have managed to find themselves lost within the cavern. Or you can be injured or given a sickness. So beware when you enter, you never know what you'll get.

note + The account "Fairy Fire" will be replying to any threads within this board that are looking for items.

Near the Neverending's territory is a large clearing, the edge of it lined with sharp rocks, looking much like large elephant's tusks planted into the ground. This place is where horses, mare and stallion, come to battle. The ring is worn down to nothing but dirt, scattered with bones and blood from recent battles. A large rock sits on the north side, where horses can stand and watch what is going within the ring below.

With the moon shimmering down upon this peaceful, green glade, Moonglade is the place where lovers come to breed and to get away from their stressful lives. However, once in a great while, a Dark slips in, and the moon hides behind clouds. Usually, this results in force breeding, and everything once peaceful within the glade is not as such. It seems Moonglade has two sides to it: the peaceful, moon-lit side, and the dark, demonic side. Whatever side is prominent depends on the acts going on within the glade. There is a large lake within the middle of the glade, the stars sparkling off the surface.

Deep within a cave is a small clearing, green despite how closed off the cave is to the rest of the world. The Emerald Dream is where mares come to have their foals, safe away from predators and stallions.
